Sandro Santantonio Design
Sandro Santantonio was born in 1977 in Lecce, where he attended a secondary school with a focus on art studies. He then moved to Milan where he enrolled at the Accademia di Belle Arti (Academy of Fine Arts) of Brera and graduated with full marks in 2000.
While still studying he started working with major designers, including Roberto Semprini, Guglielmo Berchicci, Prospero Rasulo, Giuseppe Viganò, Azzolini Tinuper and Marianelli Design. He also participated in Italian and international shows and exhibitions.
In 2004 he founded Sandro Santantonio Design, a work and study group orientated towards a new design ideology. The firm gathered together a wide range of creative skills under its umbrella and was soon able to expand noticeably its client portfolio. It thus acquired even greater experience through its collaborative efforts with leading companies in the fields of upholstered furniture, lighting, decorative homewares and fashion accessories.
Architect Roberto Semprini invited him back in 2008 to the Accademia in Brera, where in 2009 he held a Product Design course. His work has been displayed in exhibitions and shows in Italy, Switzerland, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Monaco, the United States, Russia, India, China and Japan.
